Photo Contest Winner

French and Indian reenactors participating in Fort Ligonier Days 2013.

I'm pleased to announce that 3 images I entered in the 2014 Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau Photo Contest were selected as winners. The image above, depicting French and Indian War reenactors, was taken at the 2013 Fort Ligonier Days celebration in Ligonier, PA (Westmoreland County). This photo took second place in the "People" category.

The frozen reflection of the Pack Saddle Covered Bridge is captured in this image by Pennsylvania landscape photographer Rusty Glessner.

My photo of the frozen reflection of the Pack Saddle Covered Bridge (Somerset County) was selected for second place in the "Places" category. I shot that one on the VERY cold afternoon of 1/24/2014.

The Chickentown Stagecoach and an antique tractor at the 2013 Chickentown Steam Festival near Somerset, PA.

Finally, my stylized image of the Chickentown Stagecoach was selected for second place in the "Altered Images" category. This one was shot at the Chickentown Steam Festival (Somerset County) on Memorial Day weekend 2014.

There were over 1,100 entries in this year's contest, so I feel very fortunate and honored to have had 3 images place in the top 12.

The images will be displayed at 7 Springs, Nemacolin Wooods, and in the 2015 Laurel Highlands Visitors Guide.
