Where is Kyler Fork Falls?

Kyler Fork Falls is located in northern Centre County, midway between Renovo to the northeast and the village of Moshannon to the southwest.

Basically 13 miles from either location, situated just off Route 144.

Hiking Directions

There are two different routes you can take to reach Kyler Fork Falls.

Option #1

The first route would be to simply park in the lot along Route 144 and follow the directions I give to Yost Run Falls, in my write-up HERE.

From Yost Run Falls, Kyler Fork Falls is approximately 300 yards downstream, and does require a wet crossing of Yost Run to reach Kyler Fork Falls.

Go ahead and check out that link (it will open in a new window) – I’ll wait.

Option #2

Option #2 is to hike in along the Kyler Fork Trail, from the parking area / trail head just off of Yost Ridge Road.

The GPS coordinates for that parking area are: 41.163580, -77.905191

The Kyler Fork Trail route is shorter at approximately .75 miles, but getting to the parking area / trail head off of Yost Ridge Road can be dicey in the winter (no winter maintenance on that road).

The choice is yours.

Final Thoughts

As the second tallest waterfall in Centre County (approximately 10 feet tall), and next-door neighbor to THE tallest (Yost Run Falls), it’s a no-brainer that you NEED to add a visit to these two waterfalls to your PA Bucket List!
